European Statistical Forum - 5th edition

Dear Colleague,
the 5th edition of the European Statistical Forum will be held in Brussels on Monday, 17th November.
In the last years the biostatistics community has increased its interest in the application of Bayesian methodology in drug development as it provides a framework for determining probabilities relevant to inferences from current trials and previous knowledge.
The conference aims at promoting the exchange of expertise in the field coming from academia and industry as well as regulators.
An advanced-draft agenda is now available:
• Bruno Boulanger (Arlenda) will show, with practical examples, how Bayesian statistics is a natural way to provide workable solutions and how its application can lead to better decision making and optimised clinical development.
• Kathrin Stucke (Boehringer Ingelheim Pharma), Giuseppe Palermo (F.Hoffman-La Roche) and Foteini Strimenopoulou (UCB Pharma) will share experiences about Bayesian dose finding designs in Early Phase development.
• Heinz Schmidli (Novartis Pharma) will present the application of Bayesian group sequential designs.

Free pre-Conference Dinner for registration forms received before June 26th.
